Standards of Ethical Conduct
All employees, volunteers, and contractors of Kiily's Kids Academy of Excellence are required to know, uphold, and enforce these standards.
Our commitments
- Value the worth and dignity of every person and support the pursuit of truth, kindness, and excellence.
- Make the health, safety, and well-being of every scholar the first priority in all decisions.
- Keep scholars free from harm, harassment, discrimination, and embarrassment of any kind.
- Maintain honesty in all professional dealings and never misrepresent qualifications or records.
- Protect confidential student and family information, disclosing it only as required by law or professional duty.
- Model Christ-centered character in speech, conduct, and relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues.
Strictly prohibited
- Any form of physical, verbal, emotional, or sexual abuse of a scholar.
- Inappropriate or unsupervised contact, communication, or relationships with scholars.
- Use, possession, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances on campus or at school events.
- Discrimination or retaliation on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, or disability.
- Failure to report suspected misconduct, abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
Reporting
How to report misconduct
Reports of alleged misconduct by an employee that affects the health, safety, or welfare of a scholar must be made immediately. Reports may be made in person, by phone, or by email, and may be made confidentially.
Awareness
Signs of abuse or neglect
Every adult in our community is a mandatory reporter. When in doubt, report — you do not need proof to make a call.
Unexplained bruises, burns, or injuries
Sudden changes in behavior, mood, or school performance
Fear of going home or of a specific adult
Poor hygiene, hunger, or inadequate clothing
Withdrawal from friends and activities
Age-inappropriate knowledge of sexual behavior
